Retro Rubber Challenge #53...

Welcome to a new Retro Rubber Challenge! This is our last one for 2016! I can’t believe the year is almost over! This challenge is a color inspiration based on the picture in the challenge image.

I used a palette of cream and white with just a smidge of red and green thrown in. I started with some white texture paste and a snowfall stencil. I added the paste to the cream cardstock that I had run thru the linen impression plate and cut down a bit to go on the white card base. rrcb 53 1 (575x640)

I stamped the sentiment (circa 2015) and then added a die cut set of holly leaves and berries on the edge. Finally, I popped the sentiment up over the card front. I love the simplicity of the card with all that neutral and small pop of color. rrcb 53 2 (640x463)

It’s your turn! Be sure to play along and link up your card HERE!

I stamped the sentiment and then die cut it using a washi tape die. To follow the sketch, I added a second washi tape die cut underneath and then popped them up over the tree. fms 2 (640x349)

I stamped the wreath and heat embossed in brown.  Then using a variety of distress inks, I watercolored the wreath.  I added the sentiment and then did a bit of die cutting so that I could layer up the image! Dec HOC 2 (640x492)

Blue And Gold Joy...

Happy Monday! Today’s card was made for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I opted to use nontraditional colors for a Christmas card. So I started with a bit of SU! dapper denim and delightful Dijon to die cut a circle and the word joy. fms 1 (640x502)

I used a card base of soft stone as well as a card front of soft stone. This is a beautiful light grey that does not photograph well enough to show the true color (or it could just be the photographer! LOL!). fms 2 (640x374)

I die cut a mini scalloped stitched rectangle and then added the circle, joy and the rest of the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to pop in tomorrow!

Happy Thanksgiving 2016...

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today’s card is courtesy of the Card Concept. I loved their challenge image so I had to play along with a clean and layered card.

I started with a gingham background of soft suede. Then I die cut three sunflowers out of crushed curry and soft suede and added a few garden green leaves. cc 1 (522x640)

I adhered everything to the card front and added the sentiment. cc 2 (640x465)

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Eat lots of turkey!

Thanks for stopping by today! I am off until Monday to enjoy the long weekend!

My card is really clean and simple. I started by die cutting the manger three times and then added a single layer of so saffron for the straw roof. fc pp 1 (551x640)

I stamped the sentiment, adhered the manger, and then added the enamel star. This card feels peaceful to me. I love it! fc pp 2 (640x549)

Retro Rubber Challenge #52...

Welcome to a new Retro Rubber Challenge! We have a fun sketch challenge for you and if you like clean and layered then you will enjoy this sketch!

I started by using the retired SU! Evergreen stamp set. This stamp set came out in 2012 or 2013 and I liked it immediately when I saw it. I stamped the tree in old olive and then added the script over the top. An enamel star was the perfect way to finish off the tree. rrcb 52 1 (528x640)

I cut two pieces of pattern paper and backed them with cherry cobbler and basic grey. The tree was backed in old olive and I love that it blends into the old olive card base. I stamped the sentiment (from a new stamp set), adhered everything and was done. rrcb 52 2 (640x470)

It’s your turn! See what you can do with this sketch and link up HERE!

A huge Thank You to Cindy and the Freshly Made Sketches gang for selecting THIS card as a Perfect Princess!  Thank you for the honor!!
